The objective of the NZIPIM Leadership Development Forum level 1 is to develop the leadership capability and skill sets of talented rural professionals that reside within our membership so that they can become more influential and provide greater leadership on many important issues impacting upon New Zealand's primary industry at a high level.
The underpinning skills and expertise of our members developed within their roles in working with farmers and growers on a day-to-day basis provides a strong platform to build and develop their leadership skills to make a meaningful impact in driving change across New Zealand's primary industries.
The intended outcomes of the forum is to equip participants with the following skills:
The Leadership Development Forum Level 1 will be held over two days. The forum is aimed at rural professionals who are in their first 5 years of within the industry.
The objective of the level 2 leadership forum is to develop leadership skills of talented and experiences rural professionals within our membership, with a view to them being more effective in their roles and taking on leadership and governance roles in agribusiness and within the primary industries.
For experienced professionals - two key shifts are critical – the first is the ability to leverage team effectiveness (not just be skilled at 1:1) and the second is to be strategic (to see how the context is changing and what this will mean for an innovative response from the organisation).
The intention of the level 2 forum is to equip participants with the following skills:
The Leadership Development Forum Level 2 will be held over two days. The forum is aimed at rural professionals who have either completed level 1 or have worked within the industry for 10 plus years.
